Black Market Music is a record company with a primary interest in Australian blues music. We put this album together to showcase the next generation of Australian blues. We hope this project will encourage a “scene” of young blues artists and assist them in building a national profile. With talent drawn from five states and from both rural and urban areas, we unearthed some real gems and have featured them, along with the more established acts. All artists appearing on the album are under 30 years of age. With so many youthful and innovative performers attracting a younger audience to the genre, the future of Australian blues looks very bright indeed!
